April 7 is Election Day

Get out and Vote

We don't often realize just how upside down our election systems are these days. Our Founding Fathers actually placed far greater importance on our local elections than they did on the Federal one. Not to say that we should disregard the ballot box when it comes around to voting for those who represent us on the Federal level.

It was just that in early America, people knew their neighbors well and when they elected their local officials and representatives, they were electing the people who had the most power over their day to day community living. People from their own community - neighbors and friends.

Spring elections and elections where we don't have a president being seated are our most important elections ever because these are people we know and engage with in our every day lives.

Or - as in this spring election - we will be voting for a State Supreme Court Justice who will adjudicate the Constitutionality of our state laws and ordinances. We have the chance to select the best person to examine our Constitution and hold up court cases against its lens.

And we are electing our County and School Board representatives. The people who have the most power over our local tax-payer dollars.

I would be most honored to serve as your District 15 County Board Supervisor for this upcoming term, but even more importantly, I want to ask that you get to know WHO is on your ballot this spring.

To do that, click on this link to find out who is on your ballot in your district, ward, and/or state. Get to know them by looking up their pages and finding out what they stand for. Do they stand for Truth and Liberty? Do they hold your values? Will they represent you well in whatever office they hold?

Here's a picture of a sample ballot for reference:
